usually my playlists start with me hearing a song and then trying to craft a playlist around that song. while playing Mafia II, the song "Come Softly To Me" played on the car radio and i thought it was a very nice sounding song. the end result was a sort of tribute to popular music, focusing mostly on less recent tunes with no 1 particular genre or style, but an emotional throughline of viewing things through a distorted lens - whether it be romantic, melancholic, or sentimental.
